We have a positive culture that we are building together, where people feel supported, valued and heard.About the DivisionThe Regional Division operates seven Regional Centres (Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Moe, and Shepparton). The Division is responsible for the delivery of Academy flagship and localised professional learning, forums and statewide conferences. The teams undertake engagement with government, Catholic, and Independent schools and sectors to facilitate professional learning that is aligned to high-quality Academy standards across the state.The Regional Division works closely with the Academy's other Divisions for seamless participant support and customer service, overarching end-to-end program management, learning space and technology management and coordination of statewide program delivery.About the RoleThe Senior Engagement and Programs Officer leads the localised stakeholder engagement for the Academy across the Academy's seven Regional Centres (Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Geelong, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Moe and Shepparton). This includes engagement with key system leaders, schools, and networks to plan, deliver, and evaluate the impact of professional learning aligned to the needs of the area.The Senior Engagement and Programs Officer will have a strong understanding of the professional learning offered by the Academy and plays a leadership role within the Division, working with internal Academy and local external DE, Catholic, and Independent school teams to plan, design, procure, deliver, and evaluate professional learning to meet local needs.This position is based in the Geelong regional centre and supports on site delivery of professional learning. There may be some periodic travel to the Academy's centres in Melbourne.While flexible work options may be considered, on-site attendance is required when professional learning is delivered. Accordingly, the full range of flexible arrangements may not be available. Work outside of the VPS ordinary span of hours will be required when the centre is booked for events.CapabilitiesThis position requires the successful applicant to demonstrate a high level of initiative, experience and knowledge in planning professional learning, program and project management, evaluation, and demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience.Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Proven ability to lead end-to-end program design and delivery
Demonstrated experience in effectively engaging and building positive relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Strong project management capability.
A relevant tertiary qualification in education or public administration.
