Senior Strategic Planner (Technical)

• Assess and manage complex planning proposals, including rezonings and State Significant Developments
• Lead negotiations on Planning Agreements to maximise community benefits
• Contribute to and review Council's planning policies, land use strategies, and planning instruments
• Prepare and present high-quality reports and advice to Council and the Local Planning Panel
• Manage consultants, lead multidisciplinary project teams, and oversee project delivery
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including community consultation activities

• Tertiary qualifications in town planning, urban design, or related disciplines
• Experience in Government or Consultancy is preferred
• Strong technical expertise in planning assessment, legislation, and design outcomes
• Demonstrated experience negotiating agreements and achieving positive community outcomes
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills
