
Financial Accountant

- Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (AASB, IFRS).
- Prepare and reconcile fixed asset schedules to support financial reporting, including balance sheet and P&L impacts.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes by recording depreciation, asset movements, and related journal entries.
- Assist with budget & forecast
- Perform asset impairment reviews and depreciation calculations in accordance with financial policies.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operational teams to track and validate asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Monitor and report on capital expenditure (CAPEX), ensuring alignment with budget and project time lines.
- Support internal and external audits by providing fixed asset and CAPEX documentation and financial analysis.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate accounting policies related to asset and CAPEX management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve fixed asset and CAPEX accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Proficiency in SAP with advanced excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
