They are on the look out for a well-versed Financial Accountant. Fixed assets experience preferred but not necessary.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (AASB, IFRS).
  • Prepare and reconcile fixed asset schedules to support financial reporting, including balance sheet and P&L impacts.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes by recording depreciation, asset movements, and related journal entries.
  • Assist with budget & forecast
  • Perform asset impairment reviews and depreciation calculations in accordance with financial policies.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operational teams to track and validate asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure (CAPEX), ensuring alignment with budget and project time lines.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing fixed asset and CAPEX documentation and financial analysis.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate accounting policies related to asset and CAPEX management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve fixed asset and CAPEX accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
The Successful ApplicantA successful Financial Accountant (Fixed Assets) Accountant should have:
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Proficiency in SAP with advanced excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
