Job Category: RiskJob Description:Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, Risk in Change - Business Controls and MonitoringWhat's the role?As a Senior Manager in the Risk in Change team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of change across Westpac's Global Transaction Services (GTS) International Payments portfolio. You'll be embedded in transformation initiatives, partnering with project teams, business sponsors, and risk stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage risks that arise during change execution.Your focus will be on delivering high-quality risk assessments, advising on control design (with a strong emphasis on automation), and ensuring risk artefacts meet Westpac's Transformation Delivery Standards. You'll be a trusted advisor, presenting insights to senior leadership and helping shape the risk culture across the organisation.This is a full-time position based in Sydney, three days in the office, with flexibility around project go-lives and regulatory deadlines.What do I need?We're looking for someone who brings expertise, clarity, and confidence to risk in change. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders. Key capabilities include:
  • Proven experience in risk advisory or first line risk roles, ideally within transformation or change programs.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks, with a focus on automation.
  • Familiarity with payments systems and regulatory requirements, particularly in international transactions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and advise across all levels.
  • A proactive mindset and problem-solving approach, with a passion for continuous improvement.
