Job DescriptionMusic TeacherWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Music teacher to inspire and instill a love of music for our girls and boys at Grimwade House, commencing in 2026.The Netley Music School at Grimwade House offers a comprehensive and sequential music and drama program from Prep to Year 6, drawing heavily on Kodaly and Orff methodologies, dance and drama skills. All year levels engage in appealing and challenging activities, which culminate in a variety of performances.Key Responsibilities:
  • ensuring your classroom is a caring, inclusive and vibrant environment that supports all children's growth and learning
  • promoting musical and choral excellence through fun, exciting, age-appropriate music and activities
  • assessing and differentiating learning for the needs of individual students
  • working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure innovate teaching and learning practices
  • participating in all aspects of school life beyond the classroom.
You will:
  • be a leading teacher whose professional practice and values aligns with the School and our approach to a holistic education
  • have a knowledge of Orff and Kodaly training
  • demonstrated ability to form building relationships with our School community
