
Cellar Hand

- Maintain product quality throughout all cellar operations and maintain compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Production and processing duties such as operatng crushing and pressing machinary, wine transfers and bottiling, racking, filtiration, clarification, sanitation, barrel management and genral cleaning
- Work with the cellar and with the winemaking team to ensure product quality and production schedules are met
- A cellar hand, or cellar worker, is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a winery's cellar. Their duties are hands-on and physically demanding, and they are crucial to the winemaking process
- Monitoring and record keeping
- Computer literate
- Logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Experience working in the agriculture/wine industry is an advantage, but not essential
- Forklift license is an advantage, but not essential
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 17.5kg
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and drug & alcohol testing
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week
