Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.Be part of a team that thrives on rising to the challenge of transforming lives for good.About the Program:We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join the Urban Utilities Regional Treatment Plants (RTP) Program team.John Holland with design partner GHD will deliver the RTP scope which involves a program of upgrades and renewal works to treatment plants, pipelines & pump stations in Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, & the Scenic Rim.About the Position:As Electrical Supervisor you will oversee and manage the construction process on site, coordinating and directing the activities of workers, subcontractors and suppliers.You will play a key role in ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Oversee and manage the construction process, including coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Enforce safety regulations and building codes, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations
  • Manage and resolve conflicts between parties involved in the project
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits
  • Manage the allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment
  • Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedure
Key Requirements:
  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects in Australia, focusing on electrical systems
  • Experience working for a tier one contractor is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor, managing multiple subcontractors and direct employees
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Able to work and integrate into a team
  • Strong focus on health and safety
