
Carpenter Leading Hand

- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities under the guidance of the Site Manager or Foreman.
- Execute carpentry tasks including structural repairs, timber framing, cladding, and finish work.
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and site safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate site records and contribute to project reporting.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of apprentices and labourers.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Participate in toolbox talks, site inspections, and incident investigations.
- Monitor and enforce SWMS compliance and direct corrective actions as needed
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (Cert III or higher).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial or remedial construction preferred.
- Preferred, not required. Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Preferred, not required. Familiarity with QA, Safety, and Environmental systems.
- Preferred, not required. Proficiency with site management tools and mobile apps (e.g., Procore, 1Breadcrumb)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hands-on, proactive, and quality-driven.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Willingness to learn and grow into supervisory responsibilities.
