Join our team to work in a leading-edge rail environmentExcellent opportunity for a proven leader with a strong signals backgroundFantastic residential living by the coast / FIFO opportunity (5D2X/4D3X, day shift only roster)About the roleWe are seeking an experienced & motivated Advisor Signals to join our team and play a key role in the safe & efficient operation of our rail network. In this position, you will provide expert guidance on signalling systems, ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and support the planning, design, and maintenance of signalling infrastructure.This role plays a key part in ensuring that safety, maintenance, and operational targets are achieved in line with RTIO policy, asset management processes as well as relevant legislation and regulations.Key AccountabilitiesThis role is a great opportunity for a driven individual with proven signalling, work management experience and strong stakeholder management skills to engage with and drive your team to success.Working on a 5 days on / 2 days off / 4 days on / 3 days off roster and reporting to the Superintendent Signals, you will:Provide technical advice and expertise on signal faults reviewing playbacks & logs to communicate to technicians on the groundSupport incident investigations and provide root cause analysis related to signal failuresEnsure signalling maintenance comply with relevant safety, operational, and regulatory requirementSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of work management processes, including planning, scheduling, execution, and close-outCollaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure maintenance work is effectively prioritised and resourcedScope maintenance & support works, assessing job requirements, resources and timelinesAnalyse work management data to identify performance trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvementProvide training and coaching to frontline staff on best practices in work management systems and toolsAssist in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance performance and asset healthReview and assess signalling design documentation for new and existing projectsEnsure correct tools, equipment & materials are identified and available for each jobWhat you’ll bringDemonstrated leadership and supervisory experienceWA A grade electrical licence or equivalentCert IV in Rail SignallingStrong background in heavy haul railProficient in SAP and workflow management processesProven efficiency in fostering a customer centric approach to day-to-day tasksWhat we offerBe recognized for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you’ve helped the world progress.A work environment where safety is always the number one priorityA permanent position working directly for Rio TintoA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive programComprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate familyAttractive share ownership planCompany provided insurance coverExtensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging optionsCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitionsOngoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing supportLeave for all of life’s reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave)Exclusive employee discounts (banking, accommodation, cars, retail and more)Possible domestic relocation assistanceWhere you’ll be workingIn the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own a world-class, integrated network of 17 mines, four independent port terminals, a rail network spanning nearly 2,000 kilometres and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.
