ACCIONA is now looking for a Project Engineer – Tunnels to join the Alkimos Desalinisation Project in Perth. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer you will work with the broader tunnel team to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work.The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos.At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.Responsibilities

Planning of tunnelling activities
To provide technical support and planning for workforce, supervisors, and sub-contractors as directed by the Tunnel Senior Project Engineer
Manage temporary works
Assist tunnel Forman with planning
QA
Ensures effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and all other project participants

Required Skills and Competencies

A degree in Engineering, Civil or Mining
Previous experience in the construction of underground structures using TBM’s.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the on-site management of various tunnel related construction processes, including slurry TBM’s
