Job DescriptionWe're looking for an Inbound Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team in a newly created role! In this exciting position, you'll be at the heart of managing and optimising our supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries, and solving logistical challenges.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of inbound planning/delivery scheduling, with annual container volumes being managed circa 6,000 FEU.
  • Coordinating wharf cartage contractors while communicating with shipping lines and freight forwarders to plan for movement of containers from port to distribution centres.
  • Able to coordinate with other teams (warehousing/despatch, finance, product, suppliers), to manage the smooth movement of containers through DC's within capacity levels while meeting due dates to fulfil customer commitments and eliminating demurrage costs.
  • Hold the day-to-day relationship with wharf cartage contractors, while regularly engaging with shipping lines, and customs agent/forwarders.
  • Producing internal reporting and forecasts to schedule delivery of containers in line with inbound capacity levels across each warehouse.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in logistics and transport.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm, especially during busy periods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Open to feedback and eager to learn, demonstrating a growth mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
