Inbound Transport Coordinator

- Coordination of inbound planning/delivery scheduling, with annual container volumes being managed circa 6,000 FEU.
- Coordinating wharf cartage contractors while communicating with shipping lines and freight forwarders to plan for movement of containers from port to distribution centres.
- Able to coordinate with other teams (warehousing/despatch, finance, product, suppliers), to manage the smooth movement of containers through DC's within capacity levels while meeting due dates to fulfil customer commitments and eliminating demurrage costs.
- Hold the day-to-day relationship with wharf cartage contractors, while regularly engaging with shipping lines, and customs agent/forwarders.
- Producing internal reporting and forecasts to schedule delivery of containers in line with inbound capacity levels across each warehouse.
- Previous experience in logistics and transport.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm, especially during busy periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Open to feedback and eager to learn, demonstrating a growth mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
