If you are highly-experienced in information management, enjoy collaborating with colleagues to develop data management systems, and want to make a difference working for an organisation committed to sustainably managing natural resources for future generations, we want to hear from you!As a member of the Corporate Services Team, the successful candidate will oversee NQ Dry Tropics’ information and data strategy, ensuring assets and systems are relevant, integrated, and readily accessible to meet current and future needs.Main duties and responsibilities
  • Recommend organisation-wide strategies to maintain and enhance IT systems, and maximise interoperability through succinct data management, consistency and availability across the organisation.
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify information and collection requirements during project development, and provide ongoing support with analysis.
  • Recommend strategies to maintain and enhance organisational use of all software, including Google applications, media, video and photo management, mobile applications including GPS, drones (UAVs), and GIS applications;
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in an Information Technology field or significant experience with information management, including collecting and managing data to support organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluating and developing policies and processes in either information and data management or information technology.
  • Solid understanding of data security best practices and implementation requirements.
