
Complaints and Risk Advisor (Intake, Referrals and Partnerships)

- Location: Brisbane CBD
- Classification: AO4 (Qld Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award – State 2015)
- Manage the intake process for employee and student complaints, including risk-based assessments and referrals
- Maintain accurate records and update the department’s complaints management database
- Liaise with schools, regional offices, HR business partners, and external agencies to support complaint investigations and responses
- Prepare documentation for case management, including suspension and risk advice, code of conduct breaches, and referrals
- Contribute to performance reporting, ministerial briefs, and compliance with corporate reporting requirements
- Deliver in-house training on case handling processes, systems, and policy application
- Conduct research and analysis on sensitive matters and assist in continuous process improvements
- Provide administrative support to the Intake and Assessment team and senior managers during peak periods
- Ensure information is handled confidentially and in line with departmental policy and governance standards
- Experience in a similar complaints, case management, or integrity-based AO4 role within government or a regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of administrative and risk management processes
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and accuracy
- Proficient in complaints databases, information systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Confident written communicator capable of preparing reports, briefs, and official correspondence
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to working across business units
- A flexible team player with initiative, resilience, and a commitment to professional integrity
