Data and Reporting Officer - APS6 & EL1Contract Length: 12-month contractPay Rate: $60 - $120 + SuperLocation: Geelong, VICCitizenship: Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement.About the RoleRandstad is seeking talented data and reporting professionals at both the APS6 and EL1 levels to join a federal government organization. You will be part of a team that brings in-house analytical capability to monitor trends, detect abnormalities, and track business dynamics. This is a unique opportunity to apply your data science skills to a role that directly impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands of Australians.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle and analyze large datasets, including manipulating and extracting data from data warehouses.Synthesize and coordinate complex information to inform decision-making and policy development.Identify, design, and deploy scalable data, statistical, and mathematical models.Develop and maintain pricing and market performance dashboards.Key Selection CriteriaFor the APS6 Role:Data and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated quantitative mindset with the technical and analytical ability to handle and analyze data.Communication Skills: Proven ability to convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences.For the EL1 Role:Advanced Data and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated advanced proficiency with major statistical software packages (such as R, Python, EXCEL, SAS/SQL) and the ability to work with large data.Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to convey complex data and insights with strong communication skills suitable for non-technical audiences.Desirable QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.Experience working in mathematical and statistical modelling and forecasting.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter addressing the key selection criteria.
