Job Description:If you are an EXPERIENCED Payroll Officer and are looking for a fantastic new role then you should keep reading!! This may be the perfect role for YOUOur Head Office, based in Sydney's Lidcombe, is on the hunt for a driven and energetic professional to join its Payroll Team. We are looking for someone who loves numbers, can work independently, and has a superior eye for detail. The ideal person would be someone who can hit the ground running and adapt quickly to the demands of the job.The core responsibilities in this role include:
  • Administering the end to end payroll process, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of processing and payments in conjunction with payroll team members.
  • Calculating and processing payrolls using timesheets and leave forms in accordance with the policies, procedures, regulations, contracts, award applications and legislative requirements.
  • Provide payroll support and advice to employees & managers on all payroll related issues.
  • Generate Salary, superannuation, annual leave, on cost, payroll tax and annual leave accrual, journals and put them together into the required format.
  • Calculate payroll tax for all the states and lodge monthly returns.
  • Calculate deductions, termination and redundancy pays as well as process workers compensation.
  • Update and maintain the employee database.
The ideal candidate will have:To be considered for this opportunity, you will have a proven background within a dedicated payroll position and enjoy working in a team based organisation. You will have previously had experience with payroll processing, superannuation payments, queries and recommending new initiatives. This company has strong values and is seeking someone who can work toward a collective goal.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Previous experience in payroll (3-4 years)
  • Micropay Meridian & Kronos experience - preferred but not essential
  • Well-developed Excel skills.
  • High volume end to end payroll experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, knowledge of legislative/ statutory requirements for superannuation PAYG Tax, workers' compensation and termination of pay processing
  • Excellent knowledge of Modern Awards and EBAs.
