Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in automation solutions for a full-time, on-site Maintenance Engineer – Automation role in Moorebank, Sydney. This is a unique opportunity for a mechanically or electrically trained professional with a passion for automation, maintenance excellence, and team leadership.🔍 About the Role:
- Lead a team of technicians and operators during assigned shifts
- Ensure equipment uptime and rapid fault response across automated systems (e.g., conveyors, sorters, ASRS)
- Manage shift activities using CMMS tools, ensuring accurate reporting and timely interventions
- Promote a strong WHS culture and lead incident response when required
- Drive preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to streamline shift operations
- The role starts on a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with the expectation of transitioning into a rostered shift structure(including weekends) as operations scale
- A qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience working in automated environments(e.g., logistics, manufacturing, FMCG)
- Proven ability to supervise or lead technical teams during shifts
- Hands-on capability in preventive/reactive maintenance and fault diagnostics
- Strong understanding of WHS obligations and commitment to safety leadership
- Exposure to CMMS platforms and a proactive approach to asset care and reliability
