The Role & ProjectAs a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in North West Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.MACA is seeking a HD Fitter with Civil experience to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.Locals in North West Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis. Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate's location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and ancillary equipment
Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard
Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer bases systems
Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards
Carrying out pre-start checks
Effectively work and communicate with other team members to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
Must have a “Can Do” attitude and safety conscious at all times

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Australian Trade Certificate (Mechanical Engineering Trade)
Experience working on Civil / Mining projects.
Strong Diagnostic and Fault finding experience
HR Driver licence.
White Card.
Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology highly advantagous
Pass Pre-employment medical and National Police Check.
