We're supporting a cutting-edge Defence program based in South Australia. This early-phase project needs experienced Systems Engineers to help define and shape the technical direction from the outset.In this research-based role, you'll support a team of engineers as they carry out a technical exploration related to a next-generation communications program. Your responsibilities will include gathering data, analysing technical inputs, and synthesising the team's findings into a comprehensive report to inform future system development.The highlights:

6-month contract, likely to extend
Mawson Lakes
NV1 clearance (or higher) required
September Start

The skills we are seeking:

Strong background in systems engineering
Experience in concept development, functional and physical architectures
Requirements analysis and performance modelling
Excellent analytical and research capabilities
Confident in planning and documenting within project-based teams

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience designing comms architectures
Understanding of SATCOM and Tactical Data Links
Knowledge of middleware and interoperability approaches
