Lead unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other teaching teams in the Optometry program, School and Faculty to develop effective unit curricula and learning materials.
Lead and/or support in applying industry, clinical practice management knowledge and experience into student learning experiences, success, engagement and development of resources.
Deliver effective teaching practices within unit and suggest approaches to innovate teaching practices, applying latest industry, clinical practice management knowledge to improve student success and engagement.
Lead the delivery of the optometric practice and business management unit.
Provide high quality and timely administrative and practice management service activities in Deakin's Collaborative Eye Care Clinic.
Provide academic support to students within units and courses and work collaboratively to improve student support services to optimise student outcomes.
Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes.

To be successful, you'll have:

Bachelors level qualification in cognate field of learning (Business, Optometry or similar)
Demonstrated ability to teach in a university environment and business management experience
Record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs.
Demonstrated capacity and passion for leadership of teaching and administration.
Ability to work with partners at the University, government, external organisations and professional bodies.
