
Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure

- Experienced in pump, valve, and pipe design.
- Demonstrate commitment to HSEQ by participating in monitoring established working practices.
- Support the Project Manager to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities, and facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure satisfactory completion of planned work.
- Interface with the design team and design subcontractors to ensure design milestones are met and provide constructability/methodology inputs during the design development phase (Stage 1).
- Manage subcontractors/suppliers and contribute to the review process, ensuring reviews are planned and undertaken well in advance of works starting on site (Stage 2).
- Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of the self-perform workforce and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
- Ensure that the project Quality Assurance requirements through process and procedures are being complied with.
- Prepare subcontractor scope of work and relevant documentation for tender by potential subcontractors in collaboration with the Commercial team.
- Monitor and review project costs, supplier invoices, and subcontractor claims for allocated projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven construction experience including time based on site.
- Previous work experience on reservoir projects is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Sydney Water FIFM process is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
- Previous experience with major tier-1 contractors or Sydney Water undertaking similar work is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail.
- An understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
- Professionalism, positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to travel to/work from project sites.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
