Located in a picturesque town in Western Victoria, halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide, this pharmacy offers a unique opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys both community and aged care settings. The town is known for its rich agricultural history, rolling hills, and beautiful heritage buildings-perfect for those who value space, history, and a peaceful lifestyle.Job SpecificationThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in aged care pharmacy. Your week will be split between:
  • Two days in an aged care facility, where you'll review medications, update medication histories, and provide advice and education to residents, care staff, and nurses. You'll also work closely with the pharmacy to manage urgent medication changes.
  • Two days in a community pharmacy, continuing aged care support while also handling dispensing.
  • Alternate Saturday mornings, giving you the opportunity to engage with the local community.
You'll be the sole pharmacist on duty, supported by a strong team including three dispense technicians, three sales assistants, and a retail manager.Skills Required
  • General registration with AHPRA as a pharmacist with the ability to work independently.
  • Accredited ACOP training program (preferred)
  • Existing MMR credential and commit to completing by 30 June 2025
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • 2 years previous experience in Australia as a pharmacist
