As Assistant Store Manager, you'll be the right hand to the Store Manager where you will be leading from the front, inspiring your team to hit sales targets, and ensuring the store delivers a great experience every time. You'll be hands-on with everything from merchandising and stock control to team coaching, compliance, and customer service excellence.Key responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales and KPI goals
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience that keeps people coming back
- Maintain stock levels, visual merchandising, and store presentation
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Assist with rostering, leave management, and operational reporting
- Proven retail leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven with a passion for sales and service
- Strong people leadership skills with a focus on coaching and development
- Organised, adaptable, and commercially savvy
- Flexible to work a balanced roster across weekdays and weekends
- Trade, tools, or hardware knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
