Reporting to the GM Corporate Finance, this role will play a pivotal part in supporting group external reporting and financial control functions.You will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial accounting policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with both local and international statutory reporting requirements. A critical focus of the role is safeguarding the integrity of internal financial controls, providing senior management with robust assurance over financial reporting outcomes.As a key member of our 10-person corporate finance team - covering FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Insurance, and Reporting compliance - you will contribute to Opal's success by ensuring:

Full compliance with statutory reporting obligations
Effective financial control and data integrity across reporting systems

Ideally, you will bring:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Commerce
Professional accreditation as a CPA or CA
Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or FMCG (highly regarded)
Extensive knowledge of financial control and statutory reporting requirements
Familiarity with systems such as SAP, TM1, Power BI, and advanced Excel
A results-driven mindset, with high levels of self-motivation and initiative
Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
A hands-on approach, with the ability to engage confidently and effectively at all levels of the organisation
