Which means it is the perfect time to accelerate your career with us.We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Associate with personal injury and public liability experience to join our highly regarded and busy Casualty team based in Sydney CBD.The team you will be working with predominantly services London market insurers and syndicates, and large deductible insured corporates. Your role will entail personal injury defence in NSW and ACT, providing coverage advice and acting in coronial investigations. You will work on interesting and complex matters across a range of industry sectors including construction, hospitality and security, and sports & leisure.The team is highly collaborative and values a flexible and positive working culture. Responsibilities:Day-to-day conduct of litigated and unlitigated files, including corresponding with the Court and other partiesDrafting and reviewing court documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Attend court appearances and settlement conferencesDrafting client advice on defence and coverageLiaise with insured clients, brokers, counsel, experts, and other stakeholdersReviewing and preparing evidence, including witness statementsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.Assisting with business development opportunities.Delegating to graduates and paralegals What will help you succeed in this role?:What you need to be successful:Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience in personal injury litigation.
