
Senior Solution Architect - Digital Transformational

- Investigation and analysis to provide recommendations for architectural definition, design and associated documentation for solutions across projects an in line with architecture principles
- Responsible for solution architectures, architectural decisions and architectural compliance within each recommendation.
- Be an escalation point for technical and implementation issues encountered by project and Domain teams
- Research new patterns, frameworks, technologies, and solutions
- Present recommendations to Architecture team and wider stakeholder groups
- Participate and contribute in governance forums to set technology direction, manage architectural compliance and assist projects with tactical architectural guidance
- Contribute to the architecture repository, which will include all architectural artefacts developed and approved methods and frameworks to generate architecture content - this will be supported by an architecture modelling and repository tool
- Liaise with external IT vendors in architecture and design project phases.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders in roadmap planning, program estimation and feature discoveries.

- Partner cross functionally to ensure shared success and champion best practice, while indirectly building capability and confidence across the business.
- Strong experience in similar roles.
- Experience working within similar corporate / retail environments, partnering with Technology team and the business to achieve business outcomes and optimise customer / end user experience.
- Experience in eCommerce and Customer focussed transformation programs including Headless, Android/iOS apps, Order Management System, Marketplace, CMS, Payment Gateway, Loyalty Programs, CIAM and how those technologies work together to form an Omnichannel experience for the customer.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge and understanding of project methodologies and software development life cycles
- Experience in working with cross functional teams in an organisation
- Experience in working with 3rd party technology vendors and assessing their solutions via RFI/RFP processes
- Solid understanding of headless and composable architectures, and experience designing or supporting decoupled content and commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in API-first development and integration strategies utilising GraphQL and iPaaS solutions.
- Experience with cloud-native services and architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CDN integration, WAF).
- Familiarity with MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) is a strong plus.
