This position is part of a team responsible for the assessment and registration of documents related to workers compensation disputes, lump sum settlements and common law access.Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assesses incoming applications for arbitration, common law and settlement documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation;
Provides relevant and accurate information to parties involved in disputes, settlements and common law matters before WorkCover WA’s Conciliation and Arbitration Services;
Produces a variety of documentation and correspondence to stakeholders; and
Ensures all information is accurately recorded in the case management systems and maintains concise and complete case notes.
To be successful in this position prospective applicants should possess:
Experience in, or ability to learn, assessment of documents, lodged in relation to workers compensation disputes, lump sum settlements and common law access, for compliance with the relevant legislative provisions
Demonstrated ability to constructively work independently, and as a member of a team, to achieve outcomes and meet targets in an environment of competing timeframes
High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely about technical matters
Well-developed analytical skills with capacity to understand and apply legislation
Experience working in, or the ability to learn to work in, an electronic or digital environment using Office 365 or similar.
