Senior ESD Consultant

• Oversee and deliver design and documentation for various ESD projects, meeting varied requirements per project.
• Carry out sustainable design assessments, calculations and studies in areas including energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, water efficiency, indoor environment quality, materials and stormwater pollution.
• Prepare advice and propose solutions to sustainable design matters, to reduce the environmental impact of development projects.
• Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
• Attend and manage project/client/site meetings as required.
• Allocate and monitor workloads of yourself and others, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality documentation deliverables.
• Liaise with authorities and suppliers.
• Multi-disciplinary collaboration with other building design professionals.
• Interpret relevant Australian standards and the Building Codes of Australia, ensuring your knowledge of these is comprehensively maintained.
• Prepare sustainable design reports and documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent.
• Experience in design and documentation within various sectors of the construction industry.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam and other ESD-specific software packages.
• Knowledge of building codes and relevant standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders.
• Excellent time management, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Creativity and analytical skills.
• Strong client focus and the ability to work within or lead a project team.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (both internal and external).
