This full time role is seeking a candidate looking to start or continue to develop their career in Australian payroll, building an understanding of awards and enterprise agreement interpretation.The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic Payroll team and part of the People and Culture department at Peter Mac. The role is to provide timely and accurate delivery of payroll services to a workforce of 4,000 employees.To be successful in this role, applicants should demonstrate the following:
An ability to understand the Australian payroll process
Payroll system experience using Success Factor would be looked on favourably
Ability to work as part of a cohesive payroll team, in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Exposure to interpreting multiple Awards and Enterprise Agreements
A high attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to prioritise work to meet critical processing time frames
Excellent customer service skills
Health Industry experience is desirable

Demonstrated SAP Payroll Processing experience (3-5 Years preferred)

2. Payroll Management
Assists the Payroll Manager and Payroll Staff as required
3. Payroll Operations
Accurate and timely processing of fortnightly timesheets, ensuring all outstanding tasks are completed within the given timeframes
Provide accurate and timely information to staff regarding pay queries
Creates/maintains accurate personnel records
General administrative duties/filing as required
Assists other Payroll staff as required
Salary Packaging requirements
4. Service Delivery
Provides assistance to other Payroll staff to ensure service standards are met
Understands the sensitivity of Payroll related matters and ensures prompt action and confidentiality at all times
5. Continuous Improvement
Participates in regular Payroll meetings where opportunities for improvement will be a permanent agenda item
Uses the Payroll Issues Register to raise issues and recommendations for improvement
