The role:In this exciting role, as the Regional Operations Manager, you will be working on a major retail landlord contract overseeing the operational functions of a portfolio of shopping centers across New South Wales.Your responsibilities will include ensuring operational safety, performance, and compliance. Additionally, you will monitor, support, and lead operational activities within your designated region, ensuring the assets are both protected and enhanced.Key responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and maintenance advice, coaching stakeholders on operational best practices.
  • Assist and manage the Operations team to facilitate contractual service obligations.
  • Drive Sustainability goals including waste, recycling, energy, and water efficiencies.
  • Day to day management of all matters relating to operations, engineering, risk, and compliance.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for property operations, safety, risk, and compliance issues, ensuring all emergency management procedures are in place.
  • Procure and tender services and engage contractors.
  • Assist with Capital and Operating expenditure.
  • Manage and maintain accurate plant and equipment register.
Who are we looking for?
  • Tertiary qualification or diploma in Facilities Management or another property course (desirable)
  • Technical and soft services contractor procurement & management experience (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years of retail shopping centre management experience
  • Hold a valid drivers’ license.
  • Experience and understanding of project management & delivery.
  • Ability to lead & motivate a team.
  • Forensic attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain key stakeholder relationships.
