And now, we're extending our reach and impact even further.This is an initial 12- month fixed term role.Your opportunityLead the enterprise-wide security architecture strategy and ensure secure design across all technology domains. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Security Architect who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about embedding risk-informed architecture practices. This is your chance to make a real impact in the community.With integrity and resilience, you will:
  • Lead the cyber security architecture strategy across all domains (cloud, network, applications, data, IGA, IAM).
  • Own the security architecture roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
  • Serve as the Cyber Security Lead in architecture governance bodies, influencing decisions across all tech domains.
  • Lead security architecture review boards and create a formal review cadence across all initiatives.
  • Build architecture blueprints and reference designs for high-risk platforms.
  • Own security architecture risk modelling with tools like MITRE ATT&CK or STRIDE.
What you'll bring
  • Expert-level knowledge in at least 2 specialised areas such as IGA, DLP, Zero Trust Architecture, Secure Software Development Lifecycle, or Cloud Security Posture Management.
  • Proven work experience as a Security Architect end-to-end across technology stacks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence decisions when required.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, driving alignment on governance and risk initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Cyber security, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications in either CISSP, CCSP, or SABSA are required.
  • Experience in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, or Zachman.
  • 7+ years’ experience working as a security architect.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading security architecture maturity assessments.
  • Experience working across complex organisational matrixes.
  • Experience working with various risk frameworks such as SCF Meta Framework or NIST, and ISO 27001, as well as Australian regulatory frameworks (e.g. APRA, OAIC) is highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with teams, work independently, and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
