About the DepartmentThe role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. It does this by supporting lifelong learning and healthy development, strengthening families and helping to equip people with the skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society.About the GroupSchools and Regional Services (SRS) offers central, regional, and local expertise to enhance learning and development outcomes, supported by a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. It comprises 17 areas within 4 regions, backed by 5 central office divisions, all collaborating to deliver improved outcomes for early childhood services, schools, communities, and learners, in line with Education State commitments. SRS regions serve as a bridge between the central office, schools, and service providers, ensuring smooth transitions for learners and achieving the department's ambitious targets. Each region includes divisions specialising in school performance, student wellbeing and early childhood support, working with area-based teams to tailor local interventions and practices. The 17 areas provide crucial insights into local trends and issues, facilitating effective policy and program development and driving child and learner outcomes across all services and programs.This role is attached to the Increasing Community Use of School Facilities (ICUSF) Pilot Program, School Performance Division, South Western Victoria Region, SRS. The ICUSF Pilot team has been established to engage with 41 new schools and campuses in Melbourne's west, as well as local organisations, to increase the number of formal facility sharing atrrangements in the community. This will be done through the promoting of opportunities for shared use of facilities, supporting schools with managing and administering license agreements, and evaluating potential options to scale up the pilot program in the future.About the RoleWorking closely with the ED School Performance the and senior project officers, the program manager will be responsible for providing leadership and developing the ICUSF pilot framework, including the development of monitoring and reporting practises, and stakeholder engagement strategies, both with the new schools involved in the pilot and external community entities. The program manager will also be responsible for ensuring key project milestones are met, providing timely briefings to the executive team and the Minister's Office, and for engaging and procuring a program evaluator to explore the potential of expanding the pilot across the state.Attributes

  • Stakeholder Management: Identifies and manages a range of complex and often competing needs. Facilitates innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues, and takes ultimate responsibility for managing issue resolution processes as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Desirable: A relevant tertiary qualification related field eg project management
