Come and join a progressive organisation delivering community-led programs with the Northern Territory's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.Full-time Contract37.5 hours per week$104,539 - $125,092 per annumTotal Effective Package*$128,394 - $153,408About the roleCongress is looking for a Governance Support Officer to provide high level coordination and support to the Congress and Remote Health Boards where Congress delivers services to meet their governance and management accountabilities under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act).To be considered for this position, you will require:
  • Diploma or tertiary qualifications in business, management, policy, administration, company secretarial, legal administration, project or program management or related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the use of the Microsoft suite and the ability to use video conferencing software.
  • Experience in providing secretariat support to high level planning committees including well-developed minute taking skills in a formal meeting environment.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information and exercise a high degree of confidentially and discretion.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to successfully communicate (written or oral) at a high level, form positive working relationships, adapt to audience, problem-solving skills and proven ability to manage conflicts.
  • Organisational awareness and understanding of the complexity of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services sector.
  • Current NT Drivers License
  • Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel and work from remote locations.
