Electrician / Controls Technician - Brisbane / South QueenslandAre you ready to bring your electrical and automation expertise to a unique and growing sector? We're seeking a qualified Electrician or Controls Technician based in Brisbane or South Queensland to join a dynamic team delivering advanced horticultural and greenhouse solutions to growers across the region.This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering autonomy, variety, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a highly specialised industry.About the RoleThis role supports customers throughout Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Bundaberg regions. You'll work alongside an experienced technician team based across Queensland and interstate, and be backed by strong technical and administrative support.Your responsibilities will include:Installation and commissioning of control, electrical, irrigation, and automation systems for greenhouses and horticultural operationsPreventative maintenance and service work on control systems and machineryResponding to equipment breakdowns and onsite troubleshootingThis is a hands-on role requiring a passion for systems-based work and a willingness to develop new skills in greenhouse technologies such as:Environmental and climate control systemsRetractable screening (internal and external)Heating, fogging, and ventilation systemsElectrical wiring, trays, and cable managementAutomated logistics and potting systemsFertigation and irrigation systemsTraining on advanced greenhouse control systems will be provided, including exposure to sensor-based automation tools that integrate climate and irrigation controls based on real-time crop data.Licences, Skills & ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you'll bring:At least 3 years' experience as an Electrician or Controls TechnicianStrong knowledge of automation systems and electrical instrumentationAn electrical licence (preferred but not essential)Experience in the irrigation or horticultural industry is a strong advantageConstruction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence or willingness to obtainAbout YouYou're a reliable and motivated professional who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
