- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial proposal through to successful deal closure.
- Regularly engage with clients to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the utility industry.
- Conduct in-depth market research and data analysis to identify growth areas, emerging opportunities and key customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and grow market presence.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategies with product capabilities and customer needs.
- Provide senior management with regular updates on sales performance, market insights, and strategic developments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is highly regarded.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development or sales within the solar industry, specifically focused on utility-scale projects.
- Demonstrated success in securing deals and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in the utility sector.
- Strong knowledge of ground-mounted solar technologies, including fixed tilt and tracking systems, with the ability to clearly articulate technical benefits to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Well-established network within the solar industry, especially in utility-scale project development will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills, with a strong track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
- Open to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits and industry events.
- Competitive salary of approximately AUD 140,000 to AUD 160,000 + Super + Commissions.
