Procurement Specialist
Join a leading food production manufacturer driving innovation and quality in nutrition.We are currently seeking a highly capable Procurement Specialist to join a leading food production company.Reporting to the Procurement Director, this role is critical in managing the sourcing, supplier relationships, and raw material procurement for a diverse portfolio including proteins, vitamins, minerals, and botanicals
.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supply chain excellence in the food, nutrition, or pharmaceutical sectors.Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and manage stock levels of key raw materials to ensure no stockouts or overstocking.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales to align material needs with production forecasts.
  • Identify and onboard suppliers that meet strict quality, regulatory, and cost requirements.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and terms to optimise commercial value and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to key procurement KPIs including cost savings, SIFOT, and PPV.
  • Maintain supplier master data, track contractual milestones, and manage supplier performance.
  • Monitor global supply trends, proactively manage risks, and implement contingency plans.
  • Support regulatory and sustainability compliance including GMP, SQF, FSANZ, and TGA standards.
  • Utilise inventory and planning tools for procurement analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
About You:
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the food, nutrition, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and experience with ERP/MRP/inventory systems.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for food and supplements in Australia.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Food Science (preferred).
