This role sits at the core of that capability — helping to ensure the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of their AS400 platform.🔧 The Role
As the AS400 RPG Analyst Programmer, you’ll:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance core applications using RPG ILE, CL, SQL, COBOL, and Java
- Provide technical support across testing, deployment, and post-go-live phases
- Collaborate with stakeholders across HQ, local teams, and partners to design and deliver system solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Document software processes, including development and testing workflows
- Ensure data security and regulatory compliance through the implementation of appropriate protocols
- Translate business requirements into practical, scalable solutions
- Partner with internal teams in logistics, inventory, finance, and parts management to deliver tailored IT support
- Proven experience in AS400 development with strong command of RPG programming
- Technical proficiency in RPG ILE, CL400, COBOL400, and SQL
- Working knowledge of XML and Java/Eclipse
- Sound understanding of parts operations — including sales, purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and inventory
- Experience managing data exchange interfaces via FTP/SFTP
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills — verbal and written
- A keen interest in learning and adapting to evolving technologies
