
Planning Project Manager | Flood Resillience Program

- Initial contract to start ASAP until 17/09/2026 with 3-6 month extension option paying approx. $115/hr
- Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days/week
- Develop multi options analyses, Detailed Business Cases, and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations for the Flood Resilience Program
- Preparing and delivering multi options analyses and detailed business cases (in accordance with the Queensland Government’s Project Assessment Framework) for projects within the Flood Resilience Program;
- Obtain all relevant regulatory approvals for the project/s, including Ministerial Infrastructure Designations, development applications, or any other approval process required; and
- Preparing budget documentation and necessary funding approvals (eg: Cabinet Budget Review Committee submission) for the projects
- Develop multi options analyses, Detailed Business Cases, and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations for the Flood Resilience Program unit with minimal supervision
- Coordinate and lead teams of external consultants for delivery of the work within condensed timeframes
- Assist with procurement activities for the engagement of external consultants
- Collaborate as necessary with internal and external stakeholder groups and agencies
- Provide project specific advice to management and the executive, and liaise with other units of DoE as required.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and external consultants
- Participate in the Flood Resilience Program team meetings, contribute to the development and application of policies and procedures that support the strategic direction of the department for a range of infrastructure resilience issues
- Build and maintain high levels of communication and collaborative partnerships with internal units and external agencies and school stakeholders to facilitate achievement of project objectives
- Develop and maintain project programs to a high standard
- Undertake project risk assessments to a high standard to ensure both project and corporate risks are captured and mitigated

Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
