- Working closely with the commercial team on review and negotiation of commercial contracts;
- Provide advice and support on a range of topics, including employment law, compliance, commercial contracts and partnership agreements.
- Advise on general corporate matters such as compliance with shareholders deed, company constitution, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies.
- Develop and maintain a framework of compliance within the organisation, including owning claims and insurance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build and enhance legal processes, policies, and procedures.
- Identify potential legal risks and propose proactive solutions to mitigate them effectively.
- Stay abreast of relevant legal developments and industry trends to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 + years PQE in corporate law or relevant practice areas.
- Project management experience, with demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining the support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role.
- Experience or knowledge in transport law is a bonus, but not a requirement.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical mindset to identify potential risks and implement effective controls.
- Adaptable and proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving organisation.
