Sports Co-ordinatorMarist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.The College is seeking applications for the position of Sports Co-ordinator, to join our College sports department, commencing in term 4. Due to a review of our Co-curricular program, the College has a number of Co-ordinator positions available.This is a full-time, continuing position and is remunerated with a starting rate of $39.44 per hour. Typical weekday hours are 8:00am – 4:06pm however this role includes weekend work during AIC season and some evening work. (weekend and evening penalty rates will apply).The purpose of this position is to organise and guide the direction of two (2) relevant sporting programs administratively and technically, to foster enjoyment, participation and enhance performance across all year levels as well as assisting the sports office with additional duties.We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and knowledgeable co-ordinators for various sports within the AIC competition, including the following commencing in Term 4, 2025:
  • Cricket
  • Basketball
  • AFL
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Rugby League
Sports Co-ordinators will be assigned 2 sports per year from the list above.The ideal applicant will have:
  • A commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College;
  • A background in high-level sports (one or more of the sports listed above) as an athlete, coach and/or administrator
  • A sound knowledge of best practice in sports skill development.
  • A working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office and Excel applications with the ability to prepare documents using advanced Word functions including training schedules and collation of results.
  • Experience in managing people and implementing sports programs.
  • Bus licence is advantageous but not essential;
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children) or be eligible to apply for a Blue Card
