We are proudly part of Japan Post —We have a newly created opportunity for a Marketing Communications Manager to join our Retail & Consumer team, based at Sydney Olympic Park.As Marketing Communications Manager, you will develop and implement marketing and communications programs to drive growth for the Retail & Consumer division, which manages the logistics for high profile fashion and consumer brands nationally, supported by 6,000 team members and operations across 48 sites.Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop a marketing strategy to drive growth of the Retail & Consumer business in Australia and globally across the retail vertical covering sales collateral.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar activity and events for Retail & Consumer that support their growth across key strategic pillars in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Develop key marketing materials to support sales growth including core slide decks, case studies, website content and LinkedIn posts.
  • Lead the PR and media activities for R&C including working with trade and business media to drive thought leadership and media opportunities.
  • Develop an industry engagement plan for R&C including recommending and coordinating industry speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Manage internal and external communication and marketing campaigns for key warehouse and transport projects.
  • Develop a content strategy and content development to drive engagement and build brand connection with key customers and partners.
  • Lead employee communications and engagement on behalf of the division.
To ensure your success in this role you will possess:
  • 8+ years’ experience in communications and campaign marketing – B2B
  • Strong digital nous, including digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Public relations/media with industry publications
  • Excellent spoken/written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent content creation and copywriting skills
  • Highly proficient with PowerPoint and CMS systems
  • Highly creative and a natural at thinking innovatively to generate new ideas and ways of working
Qualifications – Education and/or professional
  • Bachelor’s level in marketing, communication, Journalism or related field preferred.
