Maintenance Officer | Part-timeAs a Maintenance Officer at Regis Redlynch, you will be responsible for a range of both preventative and corrective maintenance duties right across the residence including equipment and plant monitoring, grounds upkeep, and accurate, timely reporting. This is a part time role working approximately 60 hours per fortnight.You will possess a strong work ethic, excellent technical skills, and a passion for providing a safe and comfortable environment for our elderly residents.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility.
  • Perform repairs and general maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and minor equipment repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption and maintain resident satisfaction.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and repairs.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for both staff and residents.
About youAs a collaborative member of the team, you will possess:
  • Trade certified or relevant qualification.
  • Current valid driver's license, CPR and First Aid certificate
  • Proven experience as a maintenance officer or similar role, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
  • Solid knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with staff, residents, and external contractors.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to maintenance work.
To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks,Police clearance, flu vaccinations, and certification proof.Why work for us?
