- Full time, fixed term position until 6th June 2026, with a possibility on extension. Located at the School of Mathematics and Statistics on the Camperdown Campus
- Opportunity to contribute to research for the Discovery Project "Mathematics for future magnetic devices" funded by ARC (Australian Research Council)
- Base Salary Level A $105,350 - $112,462 p.a. + 17% superannuation
- work closely with the research team to realise the aims of the ARC Discovery Project ``Mathematics for future magnetic devices''
- conduct research on stochastic PDEs and their singularities, and their dynamics and stability under the influence of noise
- participate in supervision of PhD students working on topics related to the project
- present findings of the group at local and international meetings and at research seminars
- contribute to preparation of research publications.
- a PHD in Mathematics (or close to completing)
- demonstrated expertise in either Stochastic Differential Equations or Partial Differential Equations, ideally in both
- demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research either independently or as part of a research team
- published research as sole author or in collaboration
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to supervise students at undergraduate level.
