
Service Technician

- On-site Service & Repair: Travel to client locations to diagnose & repair equipment malfunctions, perform preventative maintenance & ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshooting: Utilise diagnostic tools & technical expertise to identify root cause of equipment failures & implement effective solutions
- Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on equipment
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, provide updates on repair progress, explain technical issues & ensure client satisfaction
- Mentorship: Provide guidance & support to junior technicians, share knowledge & best practices
- Parts Management: Assist in managing parts inventory
- Documentation: Accurately document all service activities, including diagnoses, repairs & maintenance performed
- Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations & procedures, ensure a safe working environment for all.
- Previous experience as a Service Technician, preferably in a rural/agricultural setting
- Good mechanical, 12v electrical, hydraulic & electronic diagnostic & repair skills
- Problem-solving abilities & ability to troubleshoot
- Trade qualification in a relevant field preferred
- Familiarity with agricultural practices & equipment well regarded
- Customer service skills & ability to work independently
- Experience with animal handling would be an advantage
- Valid driver's license and forklift experience
- Use of fully maintained tool of trade vehicle, laptop + phone
