- Deep technical knowledge of HVDC portfolios and ability to develop the market knowledge, knowhow in grid stability is a plus.
- Great network and knowledge within the Australian Transmission industry with customers, authorities and operators.
- Optimistic, open minded and emphatic personality with high values on following relevant regulations and standards
- First leadership experience in leading small sales teams, contributing partners and managing all kinds of collaborators from opportunity development to successful closure.
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation on technical and commercial terms
- Sales, market and portfolio experience in an allied industry for at least 10 years
- Successful account and portfolio experience with growth results.
- Engineering Degree/Diploma / Electrical trade background highly regarded.
- Project management & design/commissioning experience and/or qualifications also highly regarded.
- Full rights to work and live in Australia
- Valid Australian driving license and willingness to travel locally and internationally as required for the business
- As Senior Technical Sales Professional you are serving and managing the customer relationship and leading the proposals towards the customers and are managing all internal partners helping you to prepare our offerings.
- Guides the respective proposal teams and international partners and hubs in preparation of the proposals, have high experience in risk and chance management.
- Consulting the customer on our Grid Technologies Grid Solutions with deep technical understanding of the portfolio, competitor solutions and market requirements
- Lead in the sales phase from opportunity to closure the technical and commercial preparation and negotiations with the customer by involving all relevant partners
- Lead the project handover to the project execution team and project managers and prepare all relevant information for the execution phase
- You are responsible for the quality of your opportunities in salesforce and must update them on monthly basis
- Visiting international conferences and project references with our customers as well as representing our Siemens Energy company as visitor or speaker is part of your responsibility
- Manage all internal processes as Limit of authority process to receive approval for our offerings
- Constantly analyses HVDC and Grid stability portfolios and understands the market position of the portfolio, contributes in preparation of market intelligence material for strategic workshops
- Liaison and engagement with relevant partners in Headquarters (HQ) to promote the Siemens Energy's interests but also promoting Siemens Energy Australia's business opportunities within HQ
