- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to build relationships with key retail and major grocery customers.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through leveraging existing/previous retail or major grocery relationships, market research, networking, and relationship building.
- Collaborate with other key members of the sales team and other departments within the company to develop sales strategies and achieve sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers from an established portfolio of accounts.
- Prepare and present reports on sales performance, pipeline development, and market insights to senior management including the CEO and National Sales Manager..
- Proven track record of success and experience in B2B sales, business development or account management roles within general merchandise, consumer products or FMCG.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Previous business development or account management experience selling into Coles, Woolworths, Aldi or Costco is highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related field is desirable.
