- Ensuring your area is properly organized, staffed and directed.
- Ordering required food and equipment daily to satisfy the production plan.
- Providing decisive leadership and on the job training to lower level staff members.
- Executing and supervising food production, packing & tray-set activities.
- Preparing complex meals or dishes, to specifications provided.
- Monitoring and ensuring KPI compliance across the business, including recipe specifications.
- Monitoring and controlling labour, food costs and shrinkage to budget.
- Participating in the development of food products and menus as needed for customer menu presentations.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Trade qualified Chef with at least 2 years’ experience in a high volume food production environment.
- Advanced knowledge of HACCP / QSAI / Food Safety and OHS.
- Prior experience with airline catering and service oriented.
- Prior experience working in a team environment with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Prior experience in a HALAL working environment and knowledge regarding segregation and separation of equipment.
- Good financial understanding and cost conscious.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
- As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
