Are you passionate about supporting employee wellbeing and driving injury prevention strategies? The City of Cockburn is seeking a dedicated Injury Management Program Officer to join our People Experience team and help us care for and protect our people. Reporting to the Service Lead Work Health and Safety, this role is pivotal in supporting our employees’ health and wellbeing through effective injury management, fitness-for-work programs, and proactive injury prevention strategies.In this role, you will coordinate the City’s return-to-work process in accordance with the Worker’s Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023, liaise with medical practitioners, insurers and treatment providers, and prepare tailored rehabilitation and return-to-work plans. You will also drive workplace wellbeing initiatives, conduct ergonomic assessments, and contribute to safety projects and education programs that improve outcomes across the organisation.About You
To be successful, you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in injury management and return-to-work coordination within a medium to large organisation.
  • Completion of Injury Management Coordinator Training.
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation, claims processes and rehabilitation procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with employees, medical practitioners, insurers and leaders.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping systems and ability to manage multiple cases with empathy, discretion and attention to detail.
  • A minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
