- Being the first point of contact of the RSPCA Clinic and ensuring clients (and animals) have a positive experience, either face to face or on the phone
- Providing basic triage and nursing care in dedicated Nurse consults.
- Managing the flow of waiting room and consult rooms/vets
- General administrative duties
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and stocked reception, consult room and waiting room
- Processing payment and maintaining accurate financial records
- Handling phone enquiries and client bookings

- Under the RSPCA Victoria Enterprise Agreement, a well above award hourly rate (in line with your qualifications and experience) plus paid overtime, penalty rates on weekends and public holidays, and 17.5% annual leave loading

- Experience in a reception or customer service role, ideally in a veterinary clinic
- Good knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage and prioritise tasks
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment, whilst showing great care and compassion to both clients and the animals in our care
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- The ability and commitment to work on a rotating roster, which includes some weekends and some public holidays
- A positive and can-do attitude
- Qualifications in Veterinary Nursing is desirable or equivalent veterinary clinic customer service experience is essential
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- A current tetanus vaccination (or willingness to obtain one)
