In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.About the Role:To provide advanced expertise in non-gynaecology cytology.The role is responsible for delivering a high-quality diagnostic service, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the department.Actively participating in quality assurance, day to day supervision of the department, technical and scientific staff training, ongoing professional development, innovation and collaboration.Participating in a rotating roster with a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons and weekends based on the department's requirements may form part of this positionTo be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 8 years relevant previous experience in a Non-Gynae Cytology laboratory preferably GX laboratory setting.
- A degree in Applied/biological Science (Medical Science) or equivalent. Overseas qualifications must be Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) assessed.
- CTASC
- Demonstrated experience in attending ROSE for radiological procedures, non-gynaecolgoical preparation, screening and report writing.
- Demonstrate ability to train, supervise, mentor, and educate technical and medical staff.
- Demonstrated experience in QA and QC and experience in NATA accreditation prepeparation.
