Established in 1967, Vasse Felix is Margaret River's founding wine estate, encompassing four specialty vineyards.We have an opportunity for a Vineyard Manager to join our dynamic and supportive Viticultural Team.The viticulture program is sensitive to the unique needs of Margaret River's pristine environment and ancient soils. Farmed holistically, we've developed a specialised system for nourishing soil health, vine longevity and natural biodiversity. It draws upon over 50 years' work, balancing ancient farming methods with modern viticulture.The characterful wines are reputed for their small batch, minimal intervention winemaking, reflecting our unique sites and thoughtful viticulture. The Vasse Felix Winery and Vineyards are certified members of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.We are seeking an experienced Vineyard Manager to join our supportive and innovative viticulture team.The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in viticulture or proven industry experience and will have a high level understanding of the relationship between grape and wine quality.Job Requirements Reporting to the Chief Viticulturist, key responsibilities include:

Lead a dedicated team of people to achieve production requirements of both yield and quality on our southern Margaret River vineyards
Determine operating and capital budgets and manage costs to achieve production KPI's
Maintain all assets to a high standard
Maintain sustainable vineyard practices without compromising fruit quality and/or commercial sustainability

Skills and Attributes:

10 years viticulture experience with proven experience on large vineyards
A strong desire and drive for continual improvement
Proven management skills in leading teams to achieve goals cohesively and safely
Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in an often complex environment
Solid planning, communication and organisational skills that make for smooth operations
Ability to manage the complexity that comes with multiple grape varieties on distinct sites destined for different wines
Commitment to working with the greater vineyard and winemaking teams to produce the best possible outcomes in relation to wine quality and business success
